My letter to the ministry of education

Dear Minister of Education,
I have sent you this letter because I want to try and persuade you to keep writing in school education.

Writing is important! As you may know, writing is basically one of the key subjects in learning. If you can't write how do you send emails? Writing is used everywhere.

Why? Why get rid of writing.  If you get rid of writing people will start drawing, and if everyone in the world start drawing then writing will be forgotten. Here are some things that writing is based in: email books posters letters timetable and the internet. The internet needs writing so does books.

If you take away writing people will go crazy and you will have lots and lots of ignominy.

So please minister don't take writing out of the curriculum. I hope I have persuaded you.

Week 5 Chapter 5

Week 4 wasn't an eventful week but week 5 Was. Monday start fine but it got harder. I was under my work. I couldn't get through it. I started accomplishing it by Wednesday and by Thursday I had almost completed it all apart from Mangahigh. those tasks were hard as. I think I did well this week. With my hockey game on Tuesday and training on Thursday, and falling over and hurting my knee on Wednesday. It went smooth. And I lost the game on Tuesday so I had a motivation. It defiantly was a good halfway point.

The definition of leadership

The definition of leadership is to leave an organization or people. It can also be the ability to do this thing.

5 people who are great leaders

1. Dowah:                                                                                                                                  Dowah is a great leader. She helps people out whenever she can, and she helps out then school activities if she is free that day or night.
2. Erin-Jae                                                                                                                                      Erin-Jae has been a role model with heaps of people. She helps me out of tough situations and she is a great friend.
3. Miss Coles                                                                                                                                 Miss Coles is an awesome leader, couch, and teacher. She helps me with my learning and I can look to her if I have a problem.
4. J.K Rowling                                                         JK Rowling is very inspiring because she wrote the famous Harry Potter series. She inspired me because she is a very good writer. I want to be just like her a writer. I was inspired by her amazing way to move yourself to her world. I want to be as good as her in her writing world.
5. Ashlee.                                                                                                                                        Ashlee inspires me by helping me out in tough situations and she is a nice person to be around. Ashlee shares my interest and is one of my best friends.

My leadership goal

 I want to be a leader I'm not a leader at the moment I am a follower. I want to be a better leader with my friends. I want to help them more show them examples and work hard. I also want to be more the leader at home at home I just follow my brother but my brother is younger than me so I should be getting him to follow me. My goal is just to be the best leader I can be. To achieve it I will do most of the things I have already said.

How do I take lead in my life

I take lead in my life helping everyone I know in any way I can. I take lead at home by doing chores and helping my family. I take lead at school by working hard on my word and helping others. I lead and help others even if I can't fully help myself.

How can I take leadership with my friends

I can take leadership from my friends by helping them out with tough situations and also helping them with their learning. I help them find out stuff when I need it and I give them good suggestions for learning or other things. Everyone in my friend group has a role some roles we do Alone others we do together. We all do leadership in different ways. Some of us are great reminders others are great for forgetters. We all help each other out and some way or another, nothing beats friendship.

How do I take leadership in my family.

I take leadership in my family by helping my nana at with the house chores. But also help my Mum and Dad when they're at work I take the thing to the car before they leave. I also help my brother with his school things help him find his lunch box or computer. I take leadership in family activities I encourage them to go further and encourage them to go on higher and higher further than anyone else before.
I'm not me without my family and we all have roles to do and I help them do it.

How can I take leadership in my learning

I can take leadership in my learning if I do the following

• Set goals
• Set deadlines
• Only talk learning to friends or multiple tasks
• Work hard
• take risks

Week 2 and 3 of School Term 2

Week 2 was a blast. Though I did not work my schedule completely. I got all my work done on Thursday. Even though I was working on it through the week.
Week 3 was a better week. On Monday we had NYLD (National Young Leaders Day) in Hamilton. The car I was in got there just as it started but we did not get put with the rest of Marama. We got put along the back in line with the stage. (The rest of Marama got a sidelong view of the stage). We had multiple speakers come and talk about leadership. My favourite speaker was Riley Hathaway. 
She came and talked about how the Ocean is filled with plastic and how we as children can stop it.

The rest of the week was cool. I had hockey practice on Tuesday and Thursday, reading Posted every day and the teachers had focused the week on leadership. But I did not really enjoy all the focuses on leadership. It was a cool week overall. 

If Champers had Super powers.

Hi, I'm Champers. I once had a dream that I had superpowers. that was my favorite dream. And I had it right next to my favorite human, Makayla. Anyway, I'm sure you want details, right? Anyway here's the story:
I was relaxing next to Makayla. She was listening to music while reading and the music she had playing was very relaxing. Soon I was drowsing off. Makayla noticed and started patting me gently. 

Suddenly I felt free. I was watching the sunset on my roof. When I looked down I saw I was rising gently, I saw mum look scared but relaxed somehow? She yelled Its Ok, And I relaxed. If mum said it's ok then it is. I went out and around the town where I lived and saw a hooded man in black looking suspicious so I flew down and hid behind a bush. then the hooded figure grabbed a young lady's purse while the lady wasn't looking and the doubled back toward me. 

So I jumped out from behind the bush and scratched the man. He started to bleed everywhere I scratched and then he fell over so I grabbed a Rope that was lying around and tied him up. the Lady came over a took back her purse, gave me a scratch behind my ear and walked off. I felt like a superhero so I returned home (On foot). My sister Bubbles came running over to me when I came up the driveway. "Where have you been," she asked. "I was really worried, Mum said you had gone but she didn't say where. " "Bubbles, I'm ok. But I think something has happened I can fly and my claws scratch 100 times better." I told her then off her puzzled look I told her how I caught a criminal.

After I told her, she was amazed. Mum came over and started to explain. "I gave you superpowers. One of my friend's owner is a scientist so I ask him to give me a formula that gives animal superpowers" "Why" Bubbles and I asked. "So you could find our family. your father has been missing for years and It's time to find him along with your brothers and sisters." 

But then I woke up because Bubbles had come into Makayla's room so I jumped off the bed and set off with her and told her my dream. 

When I told mum she looked anxious. I know why. She has been leaving home every night to find my father. She has been doing it for the last 2 years. I hope we find my father. tiggy. He was my dad, Mum husband, and Makayla's cat.

First week of term 2.

It has been a great term so far with hockey training on Thursday and starting our new chapter chat book Posted. But it has been different. A good and bad diffrent. 3 breaks a day, 4 learning blocks, 2 new activities and set tasks. Along with hockey. I was busy. But I was lucky and got my chapter chat, blog post, and holiday creation was done by Tuesday so I kinda had the week sorted. I spent most of my learning blocks play mangahigh or in meeting with teachers or reading for hells reading challenge (where if you read 7 books and fill out this word pizza on a computer you get a free pizza from hells pizza). On Thursday at Lunch, I had my first hockey training with my coach who happens to be my teacher Miss Coles. I had a great time. I am excited about our first twitter session this morning. later today we will be doing inquiry and a house team challenge at the end of the day.
I hope that this week will carry onto the year. 

Animal eyes

I think this eye belongs to a lion because the fur looks like one from a lioness.

this word (hlcaneeom) is Chameleon.

3.  I have leathery skin and short legs.  

I think this animal is a lizard. In the eye looks like a cage made of glass and at Zoos lizards are in glass cages.

4. Type of reptile

I think this is a crocodile because Crocodiles have that have the type of skin that this animal does.

5. Waru  

I know that this animal is a spider because of the many eyes and I know spider have that fur.
