Labour Day

Labour Day

Labour Day is on the fourth Monday of October. It is a public holiday. A public holiday is when mostly everyone gets a day off. Labour Day was created when a man called Samuel Duncan didn’t want to work more than 8 hours a day. He created Labour day. But enough about history. Why do people get a day off? Well, let me answer that. People get a day off because it is a public holiday. This Labour weekend I did nothing but sit on the couch and watch TV. Well not all weekend, I did do some kicking around with a Soccer ball and play with the neighbours.
