History of cabbage patch Dolls

Cabbage patch dolls were created by Xavier Roberts in 1983. He started producing them in his Babyland general hospital in 1979. the cabbage patch dolls were originally called little people. It became a almost instant hit in America. Back then it had seemed like almost every little girl had one. Even my mum had one. It had looked something like this:Related image

the average price of one of these dolls were $10 - $30. Some certain dolls called baldies (A rare red yarn like fuzzy hair) were priced up to $100. Pre-Cabbage Patch Xavier Roberts dolls can bring over $1,000. In some stores, the people were so desperate to get one of the dolls they trampled people. At one store in manger used a bat to control crowds.
